Charles E. Smith Jewish Day School

The Charles E. Smith Jewish Day School is an independent community day school serving students from Kindergarten through 12th grade. The School is dedicated to creating an environment in which students can grow to their fullest potential as responsible and dedicated members of the Jewish community and of American society. Based on six basic Jewish precepts, the Mission of our School is to teach its students:

CESJDS is located on two campuses in the Rockville area. The Lower School is situated on the corner of East Jefferson Street and Montrose Road. Close to the Charles E. Smith Community Service Campus and backing up to the B'nai Israel Congregation.

The Annette M. & Theodore N. Lerner Family Upper School Campus is located nearby on Hunters Lane. The state of the art campus includes wireless access throughout the building, a 700 seat capacity gymnasium and fully equipped art facilities including a pottery studio, photography studio and recording studio.
