Temple Emanuel Pre-School

Temple Emanuel Early Childhood Center is a full-time, year-round program, serving children ages 2 -5.  It is open from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday.  Their Reggio inspired philosophy reflects our deep belief that children are capable and competent and learn best in a rich environment that focuses on the interweaving of cognitive and creative ways of learning.   They are proud of their strong community of children, families and staff.

They are truly committed to working in partnership with you and your child to provide for the highest quality Jewish earlychildhood experience.

Gan Shalom Cooperative Preschool at the Hill Havurah

 Gan Shalom is a cooperative pre-school that meets in the morning on Monday/Wednesday/Friday or Tuesday/Thursday.  Early Drop Off is available.

Gan Shalom describes itself as an environment in which children learn through play, and parents/guardians and significant individuals in the child’s life are actively involved in co-teaching.

The class schedule is:

There are  2 classes of combined 2-3 year olds; one class meets M-W-F from 9:00 a.m.-12:00 noon; and a younger group of 2-3 year olds meets T-Th from 9 a.m.-12:00 noon.

Early Drop Off is available at 8:45 a.m. daily.

Licensed as a Child Development Center by the DC Office of the State Superintendent of Education

The Children's Learning Center

The Children's Learning Center offers a diverse program for Infants-5th grade. Regular Nursery School Hours 9:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m.  Elementary School Hours 9:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Early Drop Off is available at 7:00 a.m. and Extended Day is available until 6:00 p.m.  Summer Program available.

The Children's Learning Center describes itself  as a diverse educational community, which provides an instructive opportunity for every child.

Class Options:

Infants/Toddlers- One Infant Class, One Toddler Class 5 days per week 7:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m.

2s - Two 2's classes - 5 days per week 7:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m.

3s- One class available- 5 days per week 7:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m.

B'nai Shalom of Olney Nursery School

B'nai Shalom of Olney Nursery School offers a varied program from toddlers- 5 year olds.  The core program is from 9:30 a.m.-12:00 Noon with a lunch option until 1:00 p.m. Early Drop Off is available at 7:30 a.m., Enrichment is available from 1:00-3:00 p.m. and After Care is available until 6:00 p.m. for all enrolled students.  A Summer program is available.

B’nai Shalom of Olney describes itself as a play based program for children 2 – 5 years of age.  We offer a developmentally appropriate education in a nurturing environment supported by Jewish values.

Classes Offered:

Infants/Toddlers: Toddler & Me, Mondays, 9:30 – 11:00 a.m.

2s: 9:30 a.m. – 12:00 Noon or 9:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. (lunch); any 3, 4 or 5 days/week

Kehilat Shalom Early Childhood Center

Kehilat Shalom Early Childhood Center offers varied programs. The core program is from 9:15 a.m.-12:30 p.m.  Enrichment is available for 3s, 4s and 5s from 12:30 p.m.-2:00 p.m.  A summer program is available.

Kehilat Shalom Early Childhood Center describes itself as a developmentally appropriate, integrated secular and Judaic early childhood program which strives to promote social, emotional, cognitive and spiritual growth for children ages 2 – 5 in a safe and nurturing environment.

Sha'are Shalom's Rosie Uran Jewish Education Center

Rosie Uran Education Center offers a varied program. Core classes are from 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. Early drop off is available from 8:00-9:00 a.m. for ages 2 - 5 year olds.  Lunch is available from 12:00-1:00 p.m. and Enrichment is available until 1:45 p.m. Summer Program is available.

Etz Hayim Preschool offers a varied prorgram.  The core program is 9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m..  Early drop off begins at 8:00 a.m..  There is a lunch option 12:30 - 1:15 p.m. and Enrichment classes on a varied schedule 1:15 - 2:00 p.m.

Gates of Discovery at Shaare Tefila offers a varied program.  Regular classes run from 9:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m. with an Early Bird option from 7:00 a.m-9:00 a.m., Enrichment from 12:30 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. and After Care from 2 p.m.-6:00 p.m.  A summer program is available.

Gates of Discovery at Shaare Tefila describes itself as a program that is synagogue affiliated, open to all, where the whole family lis valued and supported.

Har Tzeon-Agudath Achim Early Childhood Center

Har Tzeon-Agudath Achim Early Childhood Center offers a full day program for 2-4 year olds twelve months a year. Early Drop Off begins at 8:00 a.m. and after care is available until 6:00 p.m. Monday-Thursday and 4:00 p.m. on Fridays.

HarTzeon-Agudath Achim Early Childhood Center describes itself as a  unique and creative  one room mixed aged group program that creates a wonderful social environment and is dedicated to exposing our students to the richness of Jewish values and traditions while respecting the diversity of our families.  The older children are role models and all children share their experience, knowledge and abilities with each other.

Ohr Kodesh Congregation Pre-School

Ohr Kodesh offers a varying program depending on age. Classes are from 9:15 a.m.-12:00 p.m. with Early Drop Off at 7:30 a.m., Enrichment for 3s and 4s from 1:15 p.m.-2:30 p.m. and After Care until 6:00 p.m. Monday-Thursday, closing early on Fridays. A Summer porgram is available.

Ohr Kodesh Early Childhood Center describes itself as a synagogue-based preschool engaging children, families, and teachers on a journey of Jewish and secular learning. We instill pride in our Jewish identity through religious, familial, cultural, and Jewish values.
